Feminine Habits To Develop

Writer's picture: Shakemma MosesShakemma Moses

At the start of my journey, I knew that my daily routine wasn't going to aid in what I was trying to achieve. For starters, when I woke up I would spend almost half my morning scrolling through Netflix trying to find something new to watch just to end up watching SpongeBob for the hundredth time. Not to mention I lived in oversized T-shirts and I looked like I was attacked by a pack of wolves😶. I was a mess. Basically, I didn't prioritize my time, I didn't put effort into myself, neglected my looks and my mental health.

If you related to those things I just listed out, darling it's okay :)! that's why we're here. These are the habits I developed at the start of my journey:-

1. Thinking and Speaking Positively about Yourself

A feminine woman has a softer vibe to her. She's calm, radiates positivity and she blooms like a flower. Speaking of flowers imagine you're a garden, within you represents the soil and the outer parts represent the results of how you treat the soil. Now, let's think about what happens when you don't give the soil what it needs or when you put bad stuff into it, what was once a beautiful flower now hangs its head in sadness. The garden is all dull, and it gets worse with time as you continue to put more bad stuff into it. The same thing happens when you don't treat yourself with kind words or thoughts, you feel a heaviness in your soul, you're unmotivated, no growth is happening, you barely have the energy to do anything and you're just stuck one way. The only way to change that is to pull those weeds out of your garden, start feeding your garden with the right nutrients, change that soil that was filled with negativity and get a fresh start, a new mindset! With this new mindset, you'll feel much lighter, calmer and you'll bloom like that beautiful flower you are :).

2. Putting Effort Into Your Looks (even when at home)

Part of being feminine means feeling amazing about yourself and too often women only feel this way when they dress up to go out. Who made the rule that you should only look your best when you're going somewhere? you deserve to look and feel good even when you're lounging at home. Normalize waking up in the morning and taking time to pamper yourself, spend some time creating an outfit that you'll feel most beautiful in, try a new hairstyle, whatever it is make sure it makes you feel confident and ready to take on a new day! Even superwoman looks sexy while saving the world ;). PS. If you lovely ladies would like it I' can share my feminine morning routine with you in another blog post.

3. Planning Ahead

Planning helped me a lot at the beginning of my journey, a feminine woman is polished, she's organized .she basically has her life together(not saying that you won't have your off days). So what I did was I had a planner that was gifted to me and I started off with a weekly cleaning routine, I wrote it down a week before and from there it went really good, I finished all I had planned and it just felt good overall knowing you achieved the goals you had for that day. I cannot tell you the countless times I've made a big list of things to do the next day in my head..and trust! I was determined but then when the next day came I'll be all over the place, won't get everything done, and probably won't for the next few weeks. Find a method that you're most comfortable with whether it be writing down your plans, keeping them on your phone, or whatever else it may be, but I'm telling you planning ahead creates a healthier more organized lifestyle and will help you feel like your best feminine self.

4. Self Care Routine

You can never go wrong with treating yourself. As mentioned in the previous point, take some time to plan a self-care routine whether it be once a week, at night, every day, whatever works best for you. Also if you're a regular couch potato and don't want to start off with too big of commitments you can start with small stuff like wearing your favorite perfume at home, taking longer showers, trying a new hairstyle, reading a motivational quote as long as you're making YOU a priority and pampering your self. Engaging in a self-care routine will not only make you feel more feminine but will also reduce stress, increase your happiness, help develop a healthy relationship with yourself, and many more.

5. Smelling Good

You are a flower! so you should smell like one as well :) play around with different perfume scents, different body lotions figure out which one is your favorite and make that your signature scent. It helps you feel better about yourself, it gives you a more feminine vibe and you get a lot of compliments (who doesn't like compliments?) Finding your scent is really fun and can also be a form of self-care, experimenting with different scents until you find the one! But keep in mind ladies don't drown yourself in perfume, only spray in the pulse areas (behind your ear, inside wrist, the base of your throat, inside your elbow, and behind your knees) due to the warmth of these areas the perfume scent projects more and lasts all day.

Thank You for reading! and I hope these tips do help you on your journey and that you feel like your best feminine self. See You Soon :)
